How does raster-to-vector tracing work? Our engine converts the image to grayscale, then runs the Potrace algorithm to trace its shapes into smooth, scalable vector curves. The output is a clean single-color (monochrome) outline — the original colors are not reproduced, so it's a shape trace best for logos and line art, not a full-color vectorization.
What images trace best into SVG? High-contrast graphics, logos, icons, line drawings, and flat shapes work best. Complex photographs will look pixelated or fail to trace cleanly.
Is my data kept private? Yes. All uploaded files and converted outputs are completely deleted from our servers after exactly 1 hour.
